After SRS module reset, my Volkswagen is receiving a code 00003.

Code 00003 indicates a module internal failure (hard code). While some of these codes can be cleared, they often reappear.

1. Use your scan tool to erase all codes in the SRS. Cycle the ignition 3-4 times, start the vehicle, and let it run for about a minute. Turn it off for 30 seconds and repeat this process a few times.
2. If the airbag light remains off, the issue is resolved.
3. If the airbag light comes back on with the same code, the module will need to be replaced. Consider purchasing a new or refurbished airbag control module.
