Code B0001-XX & B0002-XX

Vehicles:
MANY different years, makes and models.
What does this mean?
Airbag Module DTC Codes B0001-XX and B0002-XX: Driver frontal airbag (DRIVER AIRBAG) codes issued for many makes and models.

Troubleshooting
You are getting a driver airbag code. It could be that,
  1. Driver airbag is bad.
  2. Clock spring is bad (usually connectors are damaged, or clock spring internal ribbon is damaged)
  3. Clock spring plugs are not pushed in all the way and are not tight.
  4. Possible wiring issue when there is a short to ground or a short to voltage.
  5. Faulty steering wheel control module (if equipped)

Testing the Resistance

Good airbag will give you an OHM resistance reading of 2-3 OHMS. If you don't get this OHM resistance reading, then the airbag could be bad. This test can be performed on: seat belts, anchors, buckles, collapsible steering columns, roll over bars, positive battery terminals / cables.
