Receiving Multiple Codes After Reset Service

Some customers may experience multiple (approx. 10-20) codes after sending their SRS Airbag Module to MyAirbags for reset. Here are some troubleshooting steps for multiple code issues.

Troubleshooting
  1. Make sure the module is bolted down properly (grounded to the body).
  2. Check connector pins inside the module plug are NOT bent.
  3. Ensure that all harness plug connections are plugged in all the way into the airbag control module.
  4. If anything else was replaced or repaired. Make sure that all the connections are on properly.
  5. Take a picture of all codes from the scan tool used to verify them or write them down with the prefix included after the code.
  6. Clear all codes with a scan tool, cycle ignition on/off/on a minimum of 3 to 5 times, and see what codes come back.
  7. Check all codes, if all codes are past codes and 1 or 2 are current codes, go after those codes first. This is normally the actual issue.
