Disconnect the Battery: Before starting the installation, disconnect the car battery to ensure safety. Wait at least 10 minutes for all systems to power down completely.
-
Access the Module Location: Refer to your vehicle’s service manual for the airbag module location. This is usually placed in the center console, under the dashboard, or near the gear shifter.
-
Install the Module: Align the airbag module with the mounting area and secure it using the bolts or screws. Ensure it is firmly in place and that there are no loose connections.
- Bolt down module with all bolts and connect harness plugs (if not, airbags & seat belts could deploy).
- Vehicle should be on flat ground. DO NOT ELEVATE with a jack or lift (airbags & seat belts could deploy).
-
Reconnect Wiring Harnesses: Attach all the wiring harnesses back to the module. Make sure each connector clicks into place and is securely fastened.
-
Reconnect the Battery and Test: Once everything is reassembled, reconnect your battery. Start your vehicle and observe the airbag light on the dashboard. It should light up briefly and then turn off, indicating the system is functioning correctly.
-
Check for Error Codes: If the airbag light does not behave as expected, use an OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) scanner to check for any error codes that could indicate installation issues. You can call or send us a message and we can help!
