After receiving your rebuilt seatbelt from MyAirbags, install it, and now it won't retract. I will not operate within the vehicle.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Here are some things to check,
Is the vehicle on level ground? Not lifted on a jack or on a hill / slope
Was the unit marked with an "L" installed on the driver side? "R" on the passenger side?
- L on Driver Side
- R on Passenger Side
Was the webbing clip removed prior to installation?
If so, here is a video showing how to get the unit to retract (you may also try this if the unit is "locked").
Still having an issue?
If you are still having an issue, you must remove the retractor out of the vehicle. Does it retract outside of the vehicle, not installed. The way to properly retract it outside of the vehicle is in this video (same as the one above),
The unit must be held in the same exact position be when installed.
If it is operating outside of the vehicle, then there is an installation issue and the retractor is not a reason. Please review your installation.
